There are a few rules. You must write your wishes down on paper – no computers. Write more than one wish but no more than ten. More than ten scatters the energy. They can be wishes about different subjects or rewording around one subject. You cannot make wishes for other people. You can make wishes to adjust your thinking or your approach toward others. Wording is important. Trust your intuition. You may have to repeat a wish at each new moon if you have deep resistance to that wish. Date and keep your wish list. Wait for the magic to happen.

new moon
There is a New Moon today in the sign of Leo. It occurred around 3 pm pacific time. The new moon is a moment when the old passes away and the new is not yet here. It is a perfect time to set intentions for things you’d like to create or cultivate. The time is magical. Make your wishes within the first eight hours of the new moon and give it up to Spirit to make your dreams come true.

don't fly away
Hummingbirds - everywhere I go. Flying hummingbirds, eating hummingbirds, resting hummingbirds - I'm surrounded by hummingbirds. I'm not complaining. I love their little colorful bodies. Just suddenly, hummingbirds everywhere.
If you have hummingbirds in your life, their symbolic meaning is joy and playfulness as well as adaptability. If they show up in your life it may remind you to enjoy life's simple pleasures and take time to enjoy yourself. Some other meanings include: being more present; independence; lifting up negativity; ability to respond quickly; and resiliency.

transformation
I've been seeing butterflies lately. Not just any butterfly, but black butterflies. The other day, Miss J and I were walking and a black butterfly flew right in our faces. Everywhere I go, black butterflies. I'm not seeing any others, just black.
I know Nature has her own rhythms and black butterflies may be hatching or migrating right now. I also know the Universe is vast and wondrous and Spirit always takes care.
I've mentioned in previous posts that doors have been closing for me. I have been worried and frustrated. While nothing has changed that I can see - no new openings - yet, I am seeing black butterflies. Too many to disregard. So I researched the symbolic meaning of the black butterfly...

The butterfly symbolizes new life from an old one.
The black butterfly symbolizes a new strong but subtle life
after a period of transformation -
a sign of positive change in the present situation.
Thank you, Spirit.

tarot
I just found out today that the tarot card associated with my birth day and time is the Magician...
card from Rider Waite deck
Magician Tarot Card Meanings and Description:
The Magician is associated with the planet, Mercury, and carries with it skill, logic, and intellect. The number of the Magician is one, the number of beginnings. The Magician is the bridge between the world of the spirit and world of humanity. His right hand holds a staff raised toward the sky and his left hand points to the earth. He takes the power of the Universe and channels it through his own body and directs it to the physical plane. Above the Magician's head is the symbol of eternity and around his waist is a snake biting its own tail, another symbol of eternity. His magical table holds all four suits of the Tarot, each of which represents one of the four primordial elements of the alchemists - earth, air, fire, and water. These symbolize the appropriate use of mind, heart, body, and soul in the process of manifestation. The Magician's robe is white, symbolizing the purity and innocence found in the Fool but his cloak is red, representing worldly experience and knowledge. In the bed of flowers at his feet this duality is repeated in the mix of pure white lilies and thorny red roses.

snow moon
Did you see that glorious full moon last night? It is so white and bright. It's called the "Snow Moon" and it is in the sign of Virgo. Virgo energy deals with honesty, integrity, and purity. Virgo deals with reality. Interestingly, the sun is in the opposite sign of Pisces. Pisces deals with the ideal. So, maybe, this full moon period is about living out our ideals in the real world.

energy healer
I have an energy healer. Her name is Joyce Arnowitz. She is an amazing woman, intuit, and facilitator. I directly credit her for opening me enough to the Universe to allow me to become pregnant with my precious J. I had frequent sessions with her when I lived in the Bay Area. I see her much less frequently since I've moved to this little town so far away. I miss her. I miss our sessions. And, lately, I really have been feeling like I need to see her.
Her office is a magical place filled with art, flowers, and spiritual tokens. I took these photos with my iPhone last year - which was the last time I saw her.

9 breaths
The last few days, I have been feeling extremely scattered. I can't concentrate, everything I touch I either drop or knock over. I am short-tempered and fearful. I'd like to blame it all on the solar flares (!) and, in part, I probably can. When I feel this way, I need to ground and bring myself back in energetic balance.
Mostly to remind myself, I thought I'd post the method I use to ground. There are many ways. This is just a combination of what I have learned and what works for me. Maybe it will work for you, too.
Side note: You can do this in three breaths and even one breath, once you get used to the procedure. I have found, if you have the time, 9 breaths works really, really well.

Grounding, Filling with Light, and Centering in 9 Breaths
-Find a quiet, comfortable spot.
-Choose a comfortable seat with back support.
-Place your feet firmly on the ground/floor. Feel the solidity of the Earth under your feet.
-Place your hands palm down on your thighs.
-Close your eyes.
-Take a few deep, cleansing breaths.
-When breathing, inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth with a soft “Ha” sound, slightly lifting the corners of your mouth as you breathe out.
Grounding
-Shift your awareness to the base of your spine.
Breath 1: On the exhale, imagine a thick, central grounding cord extending from the base of your spine into the center of the earth.
-Return your awareness to the base of your spine.
Breath 2: On the exhale, send two cords down your legs and out the bottoms of your feet into the center of the earth.
-Breath 3 is actually 5 or so breaths called “bellows breath.” Bellows breath – breathe in through the nose and exhale with a short, heavy “Ha.”
Breath 3: Using bellows breaths, on each exhale draw the Earth energy into your body through the two cords you sent down through your feet. Bring the red, hot Earth energy up through your feet and ankles, then into your calves, then knees, then thighs, then to the base of the spine where they meet the central grounding cord. Allow the energy to fill your body. Feel the energy warm and relax you, filling every cell of your body.
-Take a moment to recognize how your body feels. THIS is what it feels like to be grounded.
Filling with Light
-Shift your awareness to your abdomen.
-Imagine a golden sun about 10 inches above your head. This is your source of Solar energy. Feel its warmth and light.
Breath 4: On the exhale, gently drip this golden light in through the top of your head and down your spine. Imagine it spreading through your body and filling every cell with Divine Light.
Breath 5: On the exhale, bring the light in through the top of your head. Imagine the golden light is gently filling your heart until the light overflows your heart and fills every cell of your body with your own loving energy.
Breath 6: Breathe the light in again through the top of your head into your heart. Let it overflow your heart and your entire body until you are surrounded by a golden oval shaped energy field – in front of you, behind you, above you, and below you.
Centering
-Keeping your awareness in your abdomen, imagine a blue flame about 15 inches above your head.
Breath 7: On the exhale, bring the flame down the front of your body, under your feet, and up your back to meet back at the top of your head.
Breath 8: On the exhale, bring the flame down the side of your body, under your feet, and up your other side, meeting at the top of your head.
Breath 9: On the exhale, bring the flame down around you in a spiral so that your golden oval shaped energy field is surrounded, without any gaps or holes in your protective layer.
-Sit and experience the sense of being grounded to the Earth and surrounded by your protective blue flame. When you are ready, move around gently and go on with your day.
-Throughout the day, keep your awareness in your abdomen, in your center. If you find it shifting, take a breath and bring it back to center.

laughter
Laughter is the key! Listen to the laughter of the Little Ones; as they laugh, the stars radiate with joy. For their laughter is joy and hope for the new light shining on planet Earth - the planet of free choice, the planet of laughter. Are not our children too serious? What about the elders? Are they not teaching the Little Ones by their examples? Laugh with this, and understand that the Little Ones need to, as well. Their hearts demand it. The stars demand it. The universe demands it. Laughter is necessary for the planet to continue to vibrate with love, joy, and peace. Laugh with the Little Ones!

if not me, who?
A few years ago when it was the "thing" to google yourself...I did...and found my alter ego - living the life I dreamed of, serving in ways I sought to.

Tonight, avoiding making a mix tape I promised to do for a swap (which needs to be mailed tomorrow!), I was wandering through blogland and came upon a new-to-me blog - For Me, For You. In a post by a guest blogger was a beautiful room. The room was styled by Rosie Brown!!! Yet another alter ego, living a life I dream of, with talent and purpose I long to have.

redirection
This is how I feel today ... withered, faded, old, sagging ...
My ego is in charge today. My soul is crying. I feel ugly and rejected. Total ego.
The question I have asked myself and have no answer for is: Why do I feel rejected. Yes, I have placed myself in a situation where I am being judged first and foremost on my looks. I have lost that contest before I even started. And, yes, I am being rejected on that basis continually and in large numbers! So, what else is new? I know who I am. I know how I got here. I know where I am going. Kind of. And, not everyone is rejecting me - both in this situation and in my life. So, why do I focus on the rejection instead of the acceptance? Why do I value the opinions and feelings of those who reject me more than the ones who accept and embrace me? I am pretty much a glass-half-full type of person. Why not in the face of rejection?
The angels, of Ann & the Angels, say rejection is just redirection. So, if today I am focused on rejection, what new direction do I need to take?
